Hi Byoungb!
Thanks for stopping by.
Without wading too deeply into this, I think some of us go a bit too far with our accusations.
Speech, skin color, hair texture and musical stye stolen? How completely and utterly absurd.
I can't even formulate a serious argument against something so absurd as the accusation that a person whose skin tans stole such an appearance African Americans – as if people of African descent are the only humans the planet with dark complexions. It's and absolute insult to logic.
Anywho, despite your thoughts on what might heal the divide between racial groups in America, cross-fertilization isn't the answer. Part of this is the legitimate levels of anger amongst blacks who have traditionally had aspects of their culture used and exploited to the sole benefit of whites while the source was ignored and, more often than not, mocked and derided.
Ariana isn't doing anything wrong any more than Christina Aguilera – whose R&B influence was apparent from the time she opened her mouth to sing on a pop record. She has never hidden who her influences were. Nor has Ariana.
