I cut my teeth as a writer by producing my first photocopy zine back in the late 1990s. But I found my voice, so to speak, with Kung Fu Grip!, a different zine I produced at the end of 2004 that very much set the tone for nearly everything I've done as a writer since.

I really can't even imagine where I'd be today if I hadn't started by publishing zines. So this culture has a tremendously large place in my heart and I'm forever proud to have once been a miniscule part of it.
