Over the last couple years, I've learned that I do my best, most focused editing after whatever I've worked on has been published. Sadly, though, my overall productivity has slowed to a crawl for all the reasons detailed here, with a dash of worldwide pandemic thrown in for good measure. So thank you for pointing out what, for me, has been the elephant in the room.
Quite often today, we read or hear things which tell us that to become better at something, we need to embrace new challenges. But I've been treading water, wondering about the best way to push myself.
The things that used to work in the past aren't working anymore. But the idea of forcing myself to be completely vulnerable by choosing ahead of time to actually publish before editing sounds like a great way for someone like myself to level up and build.
Thanks, L.
