[Sigh]

First off, I'm not stalking you. LOL

But, man, am I glad I ran across one of your articles tonight.

The reason for the sigh is that I have a few pieces on Medium that went viral. The most contagious of these was one published in 2017. Right now views are sitting at 353K with reads at 116K.

And it isn't even my most profitable piece.

Anywho, a teeny 10% of the traffic on it came from in house, with the other 90% coming from the world outside.

I have at least 6 or 7 other pieces that have attracted far more interest from external readers than internal.

I've never known what to do when that happens until now. I've even seen the friend link being offered on some of the recent posts I've read, but only now understand the benefit.

I got pretty dispirited after realizing how many of my pieces have gone viral to viral-ish, but not in a way that has benefitted me. So I kinda backed off writing on Medium. Or writing at all, really.

I'm slowly gearing up for a comeback, and researching SEO, tags and whatnot is part of the process before I start publishing again.

"When you know better, you do better" goes the saying. So I'm planning to do much better this time around.
